- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nurse assignment)
- Location: El Paso, TX 79902 — El Paso healthcare opportunity, Texas nursing jobs
- Setting: Cath Lab / Cardiovascular Services (cardiac catheterization, EP)
- Shifts: 8-hour day shifts (07:00–15:30); schedule flexibility may include 06:30–15:30, 08:00–16:00, or 10:00–18:00
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-Call: Required; distributed evenly among staff for emergent cases, including weekends
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120 – $2,230 (competitive pay for travel RN Cath Lab roles)
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active RN license (state of practice)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab experience required (cardiac catheterization, PCI)
- Electrophysiology (EP) experience preferred — experience with AF ablations, device implants a plus
- RCIS or Cardiovascular Nurse certification is a plus
- Comfortable with Meditech EMR documentation and unit protocols
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced cardiovascular services environment
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation for emergent cardiac/EP cases
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, PCI, and electrophysiology procedures
- Assist with a variety of procedures including Cath, PCI, EP (a-fib ablation), Watchman, TAVR, INARI, device implants (PPM, ICD), and Impella support
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team — RNs, CV techs, physicians, and EP staff — to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Perform pre-procedure assessments, intra-procedure support, post-procedure monitoring, and patient education consistent with cardiac nursing standards
- Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR and adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and dress code (royal blue or black scrubs)
- Participate in on-call coverage for emergent and weekend cases as needed to support the Cath Lab and EP service line
