- Location: Granbury, TX 76048 (Travel Nursing Assignment)
- Setting: 8-bed LDRP unit (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery)
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN / Travel Nurse)
- Start Date: July 13, 2026
- End Date: October 12, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), no call required
- Hours per Week: 36
- Floating: Within Women's Services as needed
- Scrub Colors: Navy blue or pink
- EMR: GE Centricity Perinatal (CPN); MEDHOST for orders, charges, and med scanning
Job Requirements
- Active RN license (must be valid for assignment state)
- BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- NRP certification (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring preferred; STABLE preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
- Clinical competency in circulating C-sections, high-risk labor management, Pitocin titration, fetal monitoring interpretation, neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum/couplet care
- Ability to function independently in a rural, low-volume, high-acuity hospital setting
- Preferred: previous rural hospital experience and experience in LDRP model
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope Labor & Delivery and perinatal nursing care across Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery settings
- Manage intrapartum care including induction/augmentation, high-risk labor monitoring, and accurate fetal heart rate interpretation
- Circulate for C-sections and participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Perform routine newborn assessments, immediate newborn stabilization, and provide postpartum/couplet care
- Float within Women's Services as needed based on census and staffing
- Maintain patient ratios: 1:1 for labor and 3:1 for couplet care
- Document care in GE Centricity Perinatal (CPN) and MEDHOST per facility policy
- Work one major holiday if assignment dates overlap with a holiday
