- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
- Location: Burlington, VT 05401 (Burlington, Vermont travel nursing opportunity)
- Setting: Neurosurgical & Surgical Unit (M5/McClure 5) – medical-surgical telemetry
- Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse position
- Duration: 4 weeks (Start: 4/23/2026, End: 5/21/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (telemetry RN shifts)
- Average Hours Per Week: 36
- Schedule: Minimum of every other weekend; schedule may be adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – eligible to work in Vermont
- At least 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry (medical-surgical telemetry) experience in a large, teaching facility
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not accessible)
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained; complete clinical work history required (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to neurosurgical and surgical patients on the telemetry unit
- Monitor, assess, and manage telemetry patients, ensuring accurate documentation and timely interventions
- Care for post-op neurosurgical patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
- Utilize Epic EMR for charting, medication administration, and care coordination
- Adapt to schedule or unit changes to meet patient care needs and staffing requirements
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in patient safety
