Required Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state eligible)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift
• Minimum 2 years of bedside clinical experience — Med-Surg RN or inpatient rehab experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Experience with interdisciplinary care and discharge planning is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for Med-Surg and rehabilitation patients
• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care across the inpatient rehabilitation and medical-surgical spectrum
• Supervise and direct Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees as needed
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols and promote patient and staff safety best practices
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to discharge planning from day one
• Deliver patient and family education to support recovery and successful discharge outcomes
• Foster a collaborative, positive work environment and support team-building efforts
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as needed
