- Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12 hour shifts per week) — Night Shift RN
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 – $1,990 (Competitive travel nurse pay)
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-appropriate credentialing for Michigan)
- BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- Minimum of 1 year of bedside clinical experience (2 years highly desired)
- Previous LTAC or acute care experience preferred — long-term acute care nursing experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for LTAC patients
- Provide clinical oversight and supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the medical record
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and patient rehabilitation programs to support recovery
- Initiate discharge planning and provide patient/family education beginning at admission
- Promote and maintain patient and staff safety in accordance with hospital policies and LTAC standards
- Communicate changes in patient status to the care team and seek consultation as needed
- Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary staff and contribute to a positive team environment
- Identify opportunities for professional growth and pursue continuing education to advance clinical skills
