- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12-hour shifts/week) – Night Shift RN
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States
- BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- Minimum of 2 years recent bedside clinical experience as an RN
- Experience in LTAC, long-term acute care, or similar acute care settings preferred
Preferred Skills (LTAC / Acute Care)
- Experience with ventilator care, tracheostomy care, and complex wound management preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills
- Previous night shift or charge experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized LTAC care plans
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
- Supervise and direct Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees as needed
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in a timely manner
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and contribute to patient rehabilitation and discharge planning from day of admission
- Promote patient and employee safety by following hospital safety policies and procedures
- Communicate changes in patient status to the care team and seek consultation when necessary
- Maintain a positive, efficient work environment through teamwork and effective communication
- Assume charge responsibilities as needed after orientation (night shift RN duties)
