Summary: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Cambridge, MA | 13-week travel assignment, nights (12-hr), 2+ years L&D experience, current MA RN license, BLS/ACLS/NRP required.
Job Details
- Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts (02139) – Greater Boston area
- Assignment Type: Travel nurse (travel nursing / L&D RN)
- Duration: 13 weeks (May 5, 2026 – August 1, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am), 3 shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,520 – $2,650
- Charge Capability: Highly preferred (L&D charge nurse experience)
- Scrub Color: Any
- Holiday Requirement: Must work every other major holiday
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) RN experience in acute care settings
- Previous travel nursing experience in L&D required (first-time travelers will not be considered)
- Current, active Massachusetts RN license (NURSYS verification required)
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Two recent L&D Charge RN / Manager / Supervisor references
- Completed skills checklist matching Labor & Delivery specialty
- Valid driver’s license with matching address
- Flu vaccine required during season
- EMR experience preferred: EPIC (electronic medical record experience preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive maternal-newborn care across labor, delivery, and early postpartum stages (Labor & Delivery / OB nursing)
- Monitor and assess laboring patients and newborns; intervene per protocols and collaborate on plan of care
- Assist and support vaginal deliveries and cesarean births as clinically indicated
- Act as charge nurse when assigned; coordinate nursing assignments and unit flow
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiology, neonatology, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
- Document care accurately and efficiently in the EMR (EPIC preferred)
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and culturally responsive environment for patients and families
- Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and quality/safety standards
