Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Ohio or current Compact RN license (acceptable for Ohio travel nursing)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing or ED experience
• BLS (AHA) required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Experience administering emergency medications and treatments
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with acute and urgent conditions in the Emergency Room
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients; prioritize care in a high-volume ER environment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary team members
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, codes, and critical events
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, care plans, and discharge instructions
