Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Geneva, NY 14456 (Finger Lakes region) — New York nursing job / travel nurse opportunity
- Contract Length: 15 weeks (Start: 5/11/2026 – End: 8/29/2026)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,130 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Schedule: 36 hours per week PLUS call — 9x8-hour shifts biweekly, scheduled between 6:30am–4:30pm
- Call Rotation: Includes two full weekends of call and one weekday/week; 1-hour response time required
- Floating: May be required between GGH and FLSC as needed
- Setting: Endoscopy, Acute Care — Endoscopy RN / Acute Registered Nurse role
Travel Nurse Qualifications & Requirements
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in an Endoscopy environment or related acute care setting
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (current)
- Ability to respond to call within 1 hour as part of the call rotation
- Strong communication, patient assessment, and critical thinking skills
- Comfortable with adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations
Core Responsibilities — Endoscopy RN / Acute Care
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients in the Endoscopy unit
- Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure care, monitor patients during recovery, and support safe discharge planning
- Assess patient and family needs, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Provide direct patient care, monitor progress, document changes, and update care plans as needed
- Educate patients and families on self-care, procedure expectations, post-discharge instructions, and follow-up
- Participate in call rotation, ensuring timely response and coverage across facilities
- Promote a healing environment through emotional support, patient advocacy, and adherence to infection prevention standards
- Maintain accurate documentation, comply with clinical policies, and engage in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives
