• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) — Travel Nursing / Columbus healthcare jobs
• Unit: Surgical PCU (Progressive Care Unit) – 19 North
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/18/2026 – End: 8/17/2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30) — ideal for experienced night shift RNs or telemetry RNs
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel (Travel Nurse, Contract RN)
• Orientation: 24 hours

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU / step-down nursing experience (surgical or medical-surgical)
• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) — Ohio nursing jobs
• BLS and IV certification required; ACLS preferred
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• EPIC charting system experience required (EPIC experience preferred for telemetry monitoring and documentation)
• Must be able to pass the telemetry test; experience monitoring telemetry patients (Telemetry RN experience)
• Experience with IV starts, central/peripheral line management, wound vacs, and post-surgical care
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric patients in a surgical progressive care (PCU) / step-down setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry for post-surgical and general medicine patients; act as a telemetry RN when indicated
• Perform IV starts, medication administration, lab draws, and provide patient and family education
• Manage central and peripheral lines, surgical drains, wound care, and wound vacs
• Administer blood products and follow heparin and IV insulin protocols per hospital policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Float to other units as needed to support staffing and patient care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and care plans using EPIC (EPIC charting)
