Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Home Health & Hospice in Ringgold, GA. 6-week travel contract with competitive weekly pay, mileage reimbursement, and guaranteed 40 hours/week. Join our home health and hospice team serving Walker, Dade, Catoosa & Whitfield counties.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,760 – $1,850
• Location: Ringgold, GA (30736) and surrounding counties — Walker, Dade, Catoosa, Whitfield (Northwest Georgia)
• Role: Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Health Nurse / Hospice Nurse (Acute)
• Setting: Home Health & Hospice; community-based care and palliative services
• Contract Duration: 6 weeks (April 27, 2026 – June 8, 2026)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm; 8-hour shifts; on-call rotation required (3–4 weekend days and 5–6 weeknights per month)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse opportunity
• Mileage Reimbursement: $0.43 per mile

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia (GA RN)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; home health or hospice experience preferred
• Experience with HCHB (Homecare Homebase) EMR preferred
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation (including weekends and weeknights)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community visits
• Strong assessment, care planning, clinical documentation, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients in home and community settings (home health nursing, hospice care, palliative care)
• Perform symptom management, wound care, medication administration, and patient education focused on quality of life
• Coordinate care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, social workers, therapists, aides) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Supervise and support unlicensed staff; ensure person-specific training on health maintenance and safety needs
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR (daily, monthly, quarterly, annual as required) and communicate changes in patient condition to physicians
• Schedule and follow up on appointments, transitions of care, and referrals as part of case management
• Provide orientation and training for new employees and support annual recertification on health and safety topics
