Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,920 – $3,080 (travel nursing)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36 or 48 hours
• Shift: 12-hour days, primarily weekdays (7a–7p and 11a–11p); on-call as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cardiac RNFA or cardiac stepdown RN First Assistant experience
• Active New York State RN license
• CNOR certification
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Telemetry experience and cardiac stepdown/unit experience

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with chest exposure and closing during cardiac procedures as RN First Assistant (RNFA)
• Independently perform vein harvesting for CABG surgeries
• First assist in DaVinci robotic cases (preferred)
• Scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases including CABGs, structural heart procedures, minimally invasive heart surgery, and heart failure cases
• Experience with heart transplant cases preferred
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, ICU teams) to deliver high-quality patient care in the cardiac stepdown and surgical settings
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensure patient safety, and follow perioperative and telemetry protocols
