• Location: Danville, VA 24541 (Pittsylvania County) — 45 miles north of Greensboro, NC
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse / Contract

• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), rotating weekends as needed
• Hours per Week: 36 hours guaranteed

• Setting: 31-bed Emergency Department (ED) with 2 triage rooms — all ages (pediatrics to adult)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience
• Active RN license (compact license accepted where applicable)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC (Handle with Care available on-site)
• Professional, compassionate, positive attitude and strong team collaboration skills
• Must reside at least 60 miles from Danville, VA to qualify as a traveler
• All required certifications, background checks, and screenings must be completed prior to start date

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ED
• Manage an average patient ratio of approximately 1:4 (subject to department needs)
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and ancillary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to other units as needed to support hospital operations
• Accurately document patient care using MedHost and Meditech EHR systems
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols
