Job Details
- Location: Walla Walla, WA 99362 (Walla Walla, Washington travel nursing)
- Setting: Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 5/4/2026 – End: 8/3/2026)
- Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM), rotating weekends, block scheduling available
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,050 – $2,160
- Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Charting: Epic (electronic health record)
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Parking: Free on-site
Required Qualifications
- Active Washington RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (ER nurse, emergency nursing, trauma nursing)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred
- Strong clinical skills: triage, airway management, ventilated patient care, central line and arterial line management, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV drip titration
- Comfortable caring for diverse patient populations: neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Willingness to work rotating weekends and block schedules
- References: Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable acute care or emergency setting
Core Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER setting
- Perform triage, rapid assessment, and stabilization of patients with acute and critical conditions
- Administer emergency medications and treatments, including procedural sedation and IV drip management
- Manage airways and ventilated patients, and assist with invasive devices such as central lines and art lines
- Participate in rapid response, trauma team activations, and multidisciplinary care coordination
- Document patient care accurately and promptly using Epic electronic health record
- Adhere to infection control, isolation precautions, and hospital policy
- Support patients and families through crisis situations with empathy and professionalism
