• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770 (competitive for travel nursing)

• Setting: Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum Unit — 5 rooms, 10 bassinets

Qualifications — Labor & Delivery RN Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (L&D nurse, delivery nurse)
• Nursery experience (Level 1–2) required; newborn care and postpartum nursing skills
• Active Registered Nurse license (Georgia or RN compact state)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (FHM) Certificate required (Advanced FHM accepted)
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR and PeriWatch fetal monitoring system preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required
• Royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
• Minimal to no requested time off during assignment (especially holidays)

Key Responsibilities — Labor & Delivery Nurse Duties

• Provide comprehensive nursing care during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases
• Perform newborn care and medical screening exams; assist with vaginal and assisted deliveries
• Initiate and manage IV therapy, monitor maternal and fetal status, and interpret fetal strips (FHM)
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, pediatric providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document accurate, timely patient care using Cerner EMR
• Participate in night shift, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed for this hospital L&D unit
