Job Details

• Position: Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel Nurse
• Location: Greensboro, NC 27401 (North Carolina nursing jobs, Greensboro healthcare)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit (telemetry nurse)
• Shift: Nights — 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,750 – $1,840 (competitive travel RN pay)
• On-Site Position: Must be available to work on site and float as needed
• Note: No local candidates within 50 miles

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at submission (North Carolina RN license required or compact privileges as applicable)
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required (experience as telemetry nurse or med/surg RN)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• EPIC charting experience required (EPIC proficiency for documentation)
• Ability to pass mandatory EKG competency exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Previous charge RN or LTAC experience preferred
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Must be willing to float to other units/facilities within the health system as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with medical, surgical, and telemetry monitoring needs
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognize and manage dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately (telemetry nurse responsibilities)
• Administer medications and blood products; manage IVs, PICC lines, and enteral feeding tubes
• Care for patients with respiratory conditions, diabetes management, post-surgical recovery, palliative and end-of-life care, and psychiatric observation as needed
• Utilize EPIC for timely, accurate documentation and charting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Float to other units or facilities within the system when required and participate in orientation/onboarding modules
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and isolation precautions
