• Position: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel RN
• Setting: 8th Floor Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit (cardiac telemetry)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend to 18 weeks)
• Start Date: May 15, 2026
• End Date: August 14, 2026
• Shifts: 3x12-hour night shifts per week (7:00pm – 7:30am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nursing Job

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required prior to travel
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State license in hand at time of submission (Ohio travel nursing applicants preferred)
• American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certifications (active, not pending)
• Recent (within last 6 months) experience with Epic charting system / Epic EHR
• At least one recent (past 12 months) reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, director, or charge RN in the specialty
• Ability to work at least every other holiday during the assignment
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (cardiac telemetry competence required)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, perform ECG rhythm recognition, and respond to acute changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely, complete safeMedicate assessments, and follow hospital medication policies
• Document patient care accurately and timely using Epic EHR / Epic charting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and required competencies for travel nurses
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures and uphold professional nursing standards
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and clear communication with patients and families
