• Location: Moab, Utah (84532) – Moab, UT travel nursing job in a rural hospital near Arches & Canyonlands National Parks (Utah nursing jobs, Moab healthcare).
• Setting: Medical-Surgical Unit (Med/Surg RN role covering Mother/Baby, Adult, Pediatric, Surgical, High Acuity, Rehabilitative, Skilled Care)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse
• Start Date: June 7, 2026
• End Date: September 6, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights – 7 days on / 7 days off (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130

Job Requirements

• Current, unencumbered Utah RN license or multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience (Med/Surg RN, hospital RN)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS and PALS certifications or ability to obtain within one year
• Willingness to earn NRP certification within one year
• Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, communication, and patient-centered customer service skills
• Ability to work independently in a rural hospital setting and collaboratively within an interprofessional team
• Professionalism, reliability, adaptability, and emotional maturity

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care across the lifespan—postpartum neonates to geriatrics—as a Med/Surg RN and travel nurse
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for medical, surgical, pediatric, high-acuity, rehabilitative, and skilled care patients
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and according to hospital policies
• Implement infection control, patient safety, and quality improvement protocols
• Respond effectively to rapidly changing clinical situations and emergencies
• Accurately document care in the electronic health record and maintain patient confidentiality
• Participate in cross-training opportunities (Emergency Department, PACU, infusion, wound therapy, and post-partum care) to support rural hospital staffing needs
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to accept additional duties as assigned to support the healthcare team
