Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – LTAC in Ypsilanti, MI | Active RN license, BLS & ACLS required. 13-week travel nursing assignment providing long-term acute care nursing in southeastern Michigan. • Location: Ypsilanti, MI 48197 (southeastern Michigan, near Ann Arbor)
• Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) – LTAC RN / long-term acute care nursing
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN assignment
• Start Date: 05/04/2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (3 shifts per week)
• Weekly Estimated Pay (Travel Nurse): $1,710 – $1,800

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be valid for Michigan travel assignment)
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience (2 years highly desired); LTAC, acute care, or critical care experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills for LTAC nursing roles

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for LTAC patients
• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences, patient rehabilitation programs, and care coordination
• Initiate discharge planning and provide patient/family education from day of admission
• Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure continuity and safety
• Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in unit team-building activities
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation
