Job Details
- Job Title: EP Lab Technologist / Electrophysiology Technologist (EP Tech) - Travel
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel EP Technologist)
- Location: Washington, DC 20010 (Washington DC healthcare, DC travel jobs)
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/11/2026 – End: 8/10/2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour days (07:00 – 17:30) with 2 days of late case coverage per week
- Shifts per Week: 4
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 – $2,650 (competitive travel healthcare pay)
- Setting: Short-term acute care, teaching hospital — top 50 heart & vascular center
- Unit: EP Lab (average daily caseload: 18)
- On Call/Weekend Requirement: None
- Floating Requirement: None
- Scrubs Provided
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in an EP Lab or cardiac electrophysiology setting (EP Tech experience preferred)
- Valid DC state license required (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CCI RCES or RCIS
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record/charting system
- Familiarity with Philips and Siemens X?Ray systems and GE Micropacer
- Proficiency in EKG settings and rhythm identification (inpatient/outpatient, vitals, sinus node rhythms)
- Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam if required by facility
- Seasonal influenza vaccine required (no exemptions)
- First-time travel EP technologists with required EP Lab experience are welcome
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in a wide range of cardiac electrophysiology procedures: ablations, device implants (Watchman, Aveir, pacemaker, ICD), device explants and lead extractions
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot specialized EP Lab equipment and mapping systems
- Monitor and interpret EKGs, hemodynamic data, and patient vital signs during procedures
- Document procedures and patient data accurately using Cerner and GE Cardiolab
- Collaborate with cardiologists, EP physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
- Maintain sterile field, follow infection control protocols, and adhere to hospital safety standards
- Participate in orientation, complete required facility modules, and support unit workflow to meet case volume (average daily caseload ~18)
