- Position: Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) / Hemodialysis Nurse (Travel RN)
- Location: Jacksonville, FL 32216 — Jacksonville dialysis jobs / Florida nursing jobs
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Employment Type: Travel, On-Site (Travel Nursing Opportunity)
- Setting: Will float between two hospitals in Jacksonville
- Shift: 12 Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) with on-call rotation
- Hours per Week: 36
- Openings: 2 positions available
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770 (depending on experience)
Job Requirements
- Active and unrestricted RN license (Florida RN or multistate compact RN license)
- Minimum 1 year of recent dialysis nursing experience (acute hemodialysis or chronic/ESRD unit)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Experience with hemodialysis equipment and vascular access care (arteriovenous fistula/graft, catheter care)
- Ability to float between two hospital locations as needed — flexibility for travel RN assignments
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced nephrology/renal care environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, patient-centered dialysis care for acute and chronic kidney disease patients (hemodialysis treatments)
- Assess and monitor patient status, document treatment progress, and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain hemodialysis machines and related equipment
- Initiate and terminate dialysis treatments, manage fluid removal orders, and monitor hemodynamic stability
- Provide vascular access assessment and care; escalate concerns to the interdisciplinary team as needed
- Collaborate with nephrologists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures, home-care considerations, and post-treatment instructions
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies; participate in on-call rotation and float coverage
