Job Details

• Location: Richmond, TX 77407 – Richmond healthcare role with easy access to Houston, quality schools, and nearby parks
• Setting: Behavioral Health Division – 24-bed psychiatric unit
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,620 – $1,700

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be in good standing)
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Handle With Care (HWC) certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health preferred (mental health nursing experience highly valued)
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and professional bedside manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced behavioral health environment with a 1:12 patient ratio
• Required attire: Blue scrubs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with mental health needs
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using the Pinpoint EHR system
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and follow medication safety protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Support patients with diagnoses such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, dual diagnosis, and detox needs
• Promote and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for all patients
• Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and strong clinical judgment in all patient interactions
