Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Location: Portland, Maine (04102) — Portland, ME travel nurse opportunity
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/11/2026 – End: 8/8/2026)
- Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, rotating days Monday through Friday
- Shift Duration: 8 Hour Days
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Weekend Call: Rotating weekends, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Saturday and Sunday; 1 night per week on call (4:00 PM – 6:00 PM)

Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required — eligible to practice in Maine
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology (IR)
- BLS and ACLS certifications current
- Proven experience with cardiac catheterization, angiograms, and IR cases (paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrostomy tubes)
- Proficiency in administration and recovery of sedation and arterial access recovery
- Experience with Cerner electronic charting system and Pyxis medication systems
- Strong teamwork and communication skills for multidisciplinary clinical environments
- Note: First-time travel nurses are not eligible for this assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in the Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology unit as a Cath Lab RN / Cardiac Cath Nurse
- Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures, angiography, and a range of interventional radiology procedures
- Administer and closely monitor sedation and recovery; ensure patient safety throughout procedures and post-procedure care
- Perform arterial access recovery, hemostasis, and post-procedural assessments
- Collaborate with cardiologists, interventional radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner and manage medications with Pyxis
- Participate in rotating weekend call and weekday on-call duties as required
- Follow procedural protocols, infection control standards, and maintain a safe, patient-centered environment
