• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250 (travel nurse pay)
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required
• EMR: Epic (Epic EMR experience preferred)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• 2–3 years of recent staff CVICU / Cardiac ICU experience required
• Experience in a Level One Trauma Center required
• Competency caring for immediate postoperative cardiac and vascular surgery patients in the ICU
• Proficiency with advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, arterial lines, spinal drains, ECG interpretation, temporary pacemakers, and titration of vasoactive/inotropic drips
• Epic EMR experience required
• Competency test required within 24 hours of submission

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care nursing for immediate postoperative cardiac and vascular surgery patients in the CVICU
• Monitor and manage high-acuity patients using advanced hemodynamic monitoring and life-support equipment (ventilators, arterial lines, temporary pacemakers)
• Interpret ECGs and titrate vasoactive and inotropic drips to maintain hemodynamic stability
• Manage spinal drains, chest tubes, and other post-op cardiac surgical devices
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacy—to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR (electronic medical record)
• Maintain professional standards and follow ICU protocols in a Level One Trauma Center
