Job Details

• Location: Albany, NY 12208 — Capital Region, New York healthcare hub with rich history and vibrant arts and parks.
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Level One Trauma ICU — trauma ICU, surgical ICU, neuro ICU experience highly valued
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required

Qualifications

• Active RN license (New York State or compact RN license, or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU staff experience with trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
• Level One Trauma experience required
• Experience with Epic EMR required (electronic health record documentation)
• Competency test must be completed within 24 hours of submission
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and adapt to a fast-paced critical care environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to trauma, surgical, and neuro ICU patients as an ICU RN / critical care nurse
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy) to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Perform bedside critical care tasks, including hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and post-op ICU care
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards in a Level One Trauma setting
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to float to other units as needed, providing strong clinical support
