• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Travel RN / Contract)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250 (Competitive travel nurse pay)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day: 7:00am–7:30pm; Night: 7:00pm–7:30am; 3 shifts/week)
• Setting: Cardiac Stepdown Unit / Telemetry — may float to similar units as needed (J1-2, J33, ED)
• Start Date: May 15, 2026
• End Date: August 14, 2026

Job Requirements — Registered Nurse (RN)

• Minimum 18 months recent, permanent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or related specialty (Cardiac Stepdown RN / Telemetry RN)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or Compact RN license
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS (all active; no pending certifications)
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• One supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Able to work at least every other holiday during the assignment

Responsibilities — Cardiac Telemetry and Stepdown Nursing

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients, monitor cardiac rhythms, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Perform cardiac monitoring, interpret telemetry/ECG strips, and escalate as appropriate
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, cardiology, respiratory therapy, case management) to develop and implement patient care plans
• Float to other units caring for similar patient populations as needed (J1-2, J33, ED)
• Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with hospital policies and electronic health record (EHR) requirements
• Participate in orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing training (ECG rhythm recognition, safeMedicate)
• Maintain compliance with hospital, state, and regulatory requirements for cardiac nursing
