• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 – $2,250 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required
• EMR: Epic experience required

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN license (state licensure required for practice in New York)
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in PCU, step-down, or ICU (critical care nursing experience preferred)
• ACLS certification required
• Demonstrated competency in advanced hemodynamics and vasoactive/pressor titration
• Experience managing antihypertensive drips, sedative and naloxone protocols, thrombo-embolic therapies
• Skills with invasive lines and monitoring: arterial line (A-line), CVP, EVD, and ortho traction care
• Proficiency with respiratory support: HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and care for oxygen-dependent patients
• Ability to safely manage a patient load of up to 3 high-acuity patients
• Epic EMR proficiency required; competency test required within 24 hours of submission
• Must comply with site dress code: navy blue scrubs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to medical and surgical PCU patients
• Monitor and manage patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, traumatic brain injury, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine crises, complex trauma, and post-op complications
• Administer, titrate, and document critical medications and IV drips according to protocol
• Interpret advanced hemodynamic data and utilize monitoring equipment to guide care
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rehab—to develop individualized care plans
• Maintain strict infection prevention practices and adhere to safety and quality standards
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic EMR
