Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Location: Rosedale, MD 21237 (Baltimore area) — Maryland nursing jobs / travel nursing)
• Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry Unit (48 beds)
• Shifts: 3x12-hour night shifts (18:30 – 07:00), every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,710 – $1,800
• Start Date: 5/19/2026
• End Date: 8/18/2026
• Holiday Requirement: 2 out of 3 winter holidays and other holidays during contract
• On-site: This is an on-site travel RN position

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required (telemetry nurse, Med/Surg RN)
• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred
• Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (minimum 80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
• Proficiency with Cerner documentation preferred (Cerner EMR experience)
• Comfortable caring for patients undergoing gender affirmation surgery (experience preferred, not required)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Excellent references required

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit (post-op care focus)
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; respond to rapid response and code situations
• Manage patient assignments typically 1:5 or 1:6
• Administer medications; manage IVs, central lines, and surgical drains
• Perform wound care, tracheostomy care, and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and others
• Accurately document patient care in Cerner EMR and complete required facility/unit modules within one week of hire
• Adhere to infection control and isolation precautions
