This 13-week travel assignment is ideal for a skilled L&D RN or OB nurse who wants to advance clinical experience in a busy urban hospital. You’ll work with interdisciplinary teams committed to excellence in maternal and newborn care, fetal monitoring, and perinatal safety.

- Location: Dallas, TX 75203 — Dallas nursing jobs, Texas travel nursing
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 5/18/2026 – End: 8/17/2026)
- Shift: Night shift — 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30); variable schedule may be required
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 – $1,770 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Coverage: Weekend and holiday coverage required; unit call rotation (one call per pay period)
- Scheduling: Self-scheduling available
Minimum Qualifications & Certifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in good standing)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience — strong OB nurse background
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, FHM, NRP (AHA preferred; military acceptable)
- Experience with Epic charting system required (Epic electronic medical record)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to complete pre-start modules (8–12 hours, billable)
- State-issued ID required prior to submission
Core Responsibilities — Labor & Delivery RN / L&D Nurse
- Provide comprehensive nursing care across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases for laboring patients
- Manage high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetrical emergencies as part of the OB team
- Administer medications and therapies including magnesium sulfate, antihypertensives, and anticoagulation
- Perform and assist with obstetrical procedures: amnioinfusion, cervical cerclage, epidural anesthesia, forceps/vacuum extraction, and more
- Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns using EFM, IUPC, and internal/external monitoring — strong fetal monitoring skills required
- Support breastfeeding and provide lactation education and postpartum patient teaching
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and ensure compliance with perinatal safety protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including OB physicians, anesthesia, respiratory, pharmacy, and social services
- Participate in unit call rotation and provide weekend/holiday coverage as needed
