About the Role

We are seeking an experienced LTAC Registered Nurse (RN) with ICU/critical care experience to provide high-quality, long-term acute care for medically complex patients. Ideal candidates are ventilator-competent ICU RNs or LTAC nurses who are comfortable with tracheostomy care, complex wound management, and interdisciplinary coordination.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (valid in Ohio)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required prior to first shift)
• ICU / critical care experience required; LTAC experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year bedside clinical experience (2 years highly desired)
• Experience with ventilator management, tracheostomies, and complex medical care preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans
• Deliver patient-centered care in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting, including ventilator and tracheostomy management
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, PT/OT, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Supervise and mentor LPNs, CNAs, and orientee nurses as needed
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in rehabilitation programs and initiate discharge planning starting at admission
• Maintain a safe environment by following hospital safety protocols and infection control standards
• Communicate changes in patient status to physicians and charge nurses to ensure continuity of care
