  • Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Level II Maternity Unit, Level I Nursery
  • Start Date: May 11, 2026
  • End Date: August 10, 2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:00), 3 shifts per week
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,350 – $2,470
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Floating: May float to sister facilities nearby as needed
  • Parking: Free on-site
  • Charting: Epic (experience required)
  • Scrub Color: Any color (OR/Critical Care/ED/Maternal Child: provided)
  • Vehicle Required: Yes (travel nursing assignment, vehicle needed for float/affiliate travel)

Qualifications & Certifications (L&D RN / Labor and Delivery Nurse)

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon (may submit with pending license)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience required (may consider 1 year from high-risk/high-census unit)
  • Experience in LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) strongly preferred
  • At least 1 year of formal labor training
  • Required certifications: BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation), AWHONN Advanced; STABLE as applicable
  • Epic EMR experience required (documentation and charting)
  • Ability to float between units and to affiliate hospitals based on staffing needs
  • Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years required

Responsibilities – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

  • Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to laboring and postpartum patients in a 14-bed LDRP unit
  • Manage 1:1 labor and 1:3 postpartum patient ratios following AWHONN staffing standards
  • Assist with high-risk deliveries, operative (C-section) care, and postpartum recovery
  • Perform newborn assessments, provide couplet care, and support safe maternal-newborn transitions
  • Administer medications, blood products, and manage IV therapy
  • Support breastfeeding and provide lactation education and resources
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including anesthesia, IV therapy, respiratory, and rapid response teams
  • Float to other units or affiliate hospitals as needed based on skill set and facility needs
  • Document care accurately and timely using Epic (electronic medical record)
  • Participate in orientation, competency validation, and complete required modules prior to start
