Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse (Operating Room / Perioperative RN)
• Location: Fayetteville, AR 72704 (Northwest Arkansas travel nursing opportunity)
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start Date: 05/04/2026 – End Date: 08/03/2026)
• Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts (Monday – Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Setting: Operating Room (OR) – perioperative/surgical nurse role

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be valid in Arkansas or eligible for compact licensure)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience, including Ortho, Plastics, and OB/GYN cases
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership skills in the OR

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care by collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team
• Prepare and ensure availability of surgical supplies, instruments, and specialized equipment for cases
• Maintain timely case flow, OR scheduling communication, and clear updates with families and the healthcare team
• Update and maintain physician preference cards and surgical documentation
• Assist physicians during surgical procedures and provide direct patient care in the operating room
• Supervise and support OR personnel delivering patient care; promote a safe, efficient surgical environment
• Adhere to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies
