Med/Surg RN Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience (Med/Surg RN experience preferred)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (travel nurse eligibility)

Responsibilities – Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients on the Med/Surg unit (clinical assessment and monitoring)
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress accurately
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following medication safety protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
  • Float to other units as needed to support patient care across the facility
