Join our Burn ICU team as a Travel RN (ICU RN / Burn Nurse) in Nashville, Tennessee. This travel nursing assignment offers the chance to work in a 12-bed Burn ICU, gain advanced critical care experience, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a state-of-the-art facility. - End Date: August 3, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shifts: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 – $1,730
- Patient Ratios: ICU 2:1; Med/Surg & PCU 4:1
- Documentation System: Meditech (experience with Meditech preferred)
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (critical care certifications preferred)
- At least 1 year of recent ICU or Burn ICU experience (burn nurse or ICU RN experience required)
- Med/Surg experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
- Ability to float to other units (Med/Surg, PCU) as needed
- Willingness to work a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult and/or pediatric burn patients in a 12-bed Burn ICU
- Monitor and manage ventilators, specialty beds, and occasionally CRRT equipment
- Perform advanced assessments, medication administration, and wound/burn care as a critical care nurse
- Collaborate with Charge RNs, PCTs, physicians, and the multidisciplinary burn team
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Meditech
- Adhere to unit-specific policies, infection control, and burn protocol guidelines
- Float to Med/Surg and PCU units as needed to support patient care and staffing
- Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients, families, and staff
