- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 - $1,940
- Location: Santa Fe, NM 87505 — New Mexico nursing jobs / Registered Nurse jobs
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Unit: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) unit, acute care hospital
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Start Date: ASAP
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program (Registered Nurse / RN)
- Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state RN license (eligible to practice in NM)
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience (Medical-Surgical RN experience)
- ACLS certification optional but preferred
- Strong communication skills, patient advocacy, and sensitivity to patient rights
- Ability to manage emergency/crisis situations and perform heavy physical effort as required in a fast-paced acute care setting
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement patient-centered care specific to the Medical-Surgical unit
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, and accurate documentation/charting
- Deliver safe, efficient, evidence-based care consistent with unit standards and hospital policies
- Demonstrate professionalism and respect toward staff, physicians, patients, and families
- Maintain clear and concise communication appropriate to patient age and clinical needs
- Adhere to infection control protocols, safety standards, and quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in the unit and organizational mission, philosophy, and goals and respond to unexpected schedule changes and emergencies as needed
