- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Current, active RN license (Iowa or compact state) — ICU RN / Registered Nurse
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC and CPI/NVCI preferred (trauma and de-escalation skills advantageous)
- Ability to complete onboarding health and competency requirements (fit test, drug screen, immunizations, background check)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a 12-bed ICU
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment using ICU best practices
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Respond to emergencies and provide advanced life support as needed (ACLS/PALS competency)
- Administer medications, manage ventilators and advanced monitoring, and perform critical care procedures within scope
- Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery expectations, and post-ICU transitions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment to support patient safety and quality outcomes
