Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

• Location: Winchester, MA 01890 (close to Boston, Massachusetts travel nurse opportunity)
• Setting: Obstetrics Delivery / Labor & Delivery Unit (LDR rooms, Level IIB Special Care Nursery)
• Contract Type: Travel Nurse (Travel Registered Nurse)
• Start Date: May 11, 2026
• End Date: August 8, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am)
• Hours per Week: 36 (72 hours biweekly guaranteed; excludes on-call)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,700 – $2,840
• Float Required: No
• Candidate Type: Travelers only — no local candidates

L&D RN Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year recent Labor & Delivery RN / Obstetrics RN experience
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications
• Fetal Monitoring Certification – Advanced (electronic fetal monitoring, interpretation)
• Must be separated from BILH for at least 6 months and in good standing if previously employed
• No local candidates — travel nurses only

Key Responsibilities — Labor & Delivery Nurse (L&D RN)

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to laboring patients and families in a modern L&D unit
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using advanced fetal monitoring and maternal assessment skills
• Support immediate skin-to-skin contact, rooming-in, and breastfeeding initiation to promote maternal-newborn bonding
• Administer medications, pain management (including nitrous oxide and epidurals), and emergency interventions as needed
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiology, pediatrics, and the multidisciplinary team in a Level IIB Special Care Nursery environment
• Perform accurate documentation, maintain compliance with hospital policies, and participate in quality and safety initiatives
