• Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN) – Night Shift (Travel Contract)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Columbus healthcare jobs / Ohio nursing jobs)
• Setting: Cardiac Medical ICU (Cardiac ICU RN, Critical Care Nurse)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:1–2
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• On-call: None
• Assignment Type: Travel nurse / travel contract (urgent Ohio fingerprinting required upon signing)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU / critical care nursing experience (Cardiac ICU experience preferred)
• EPIC charting system experience required (EPIC proficiency)
• Current RN license (Compact or Ohio state RN license accepted)
• Graduated from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership)
• Ability to float to different units within the organization as needed
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to adult patients with complex cardiac and medical needs (ventilator-dependent, post-intervention care)
• Manage and monitor ventilators, telemetry, and advanced cardiac devices (IABP, Impella, CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring)
• Start and maintain peripheral IVs, arterial and central lines; administer emergency medications and titrate vasoactive drips
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs), recognize and treat dysrhythmias, and perform phlebotomy
• Administer blood products and participate in hypothermia protocols and post-cardiac intervention care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Accurately document all care and interventions using EPIC
• Float to other units within the hospital as operationally needed
