Job Details
- Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) — Travel Nurse
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 – $2,270
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour (06:30 – 19:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Location: Everett, WA 98201 — Puget Sound area, near Seattle (Everett travel nurse / Washington nursing jobs)
- Facility: Pavilion for Women and Children — Level II Trauma Center with Level II NICU
- Charting: EPIC (electronic charting required)
- Parking: Facility paid
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (high-acuity L&D/perinatal nursing preferred)
- Active WA RN license or Compact RN license in hand (required)
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring certification required (electronic fetal monitoring / EFM experience)
- Experience with high-volume obstetric units (facilities with 100+ deliveries/month preferred)
- EPIC charting experience required
- Comfortable floating to Postpartum and other units as needed (couplet care experience a plus)
- Willingness to work weekends and commit to 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
- References: Minimum 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment in the last 3 years
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-risk perinatal and maternity care in a busy unit supporting labor & delivery, antepartum, and postpartum patients
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries; circulate for C-sections and support surgical team when needed
- Perform sterile vaginal exams (SVE), APGAR scoring, newborn assessments, and immediate postpartum care
- Monitor fetal status and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns using EFM and IUPC; interpret tracings per AWHONN guidance
- Administer medications and blood products; manage epidural anesthesia and narcotic administration per protocol
- Support breastfeeding, lactation initiation, discharge teaching, and couplet care for mother-baby dyads
- Float to Postpartum and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including neonatology, anesthesia, and obstetrics
- Maintain infection control and isolation precautions; document care accurately and timely in EPIC
