• Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) / Medical-Surgical Nurse / Travel Nurse
• Location: Geneva, NY 14456 — Finger Lakes, Upstate New York
• Employment Type: Travel, On-Site (Travel Nursing Assignment)
• Start Date: May 11, 2026
• End Date: August 22, 2026
• Duration: 15 weeks
• Shift: Part Time, 2x12 hour rotating day and/or night shifts (scheduled as needed); every other weekend and holiday required
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week (typically 2x12 hour scheduled shifts plus additional on-call hours as needed)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,960 – $2,070

Job Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required — NYS RN
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or RQI only)
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg (medical-surgical) nursing experience in an acute care setting
• Availability to begin full-shift orientation on a Monday and Tuesday (2x12 hour shifts)
• Strong clinical assessment skills, medication administration, and patient education experience

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients across a variety of medical-surgical conditions
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Deliver direct patient care, monitor clinical status, and update care plans based on patient progress
• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions safely and accurately
• Educate patients and families on self-care, discharge planning, and chronic disease management
• Promote a healing environment through emotional support, patient advocacy, and professional communication
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols, safety standards, and institutional policies
• Participate in quality improvement projects and ongoing professional development to support clinical excellence
