• Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) / stepdown / complex care
• Assignment Type: Travel assignment / 13-week contract
• Start Date: 05/04/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (3 shifts per week)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,660 – $1,750 (estimated weekly pay for travel RN)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (valid in the U.S.)
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Stepdown experience required; LTAC, stepdown, or critical care experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year bedside clinical nursing experience (2 years highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning from day of admission
• Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure continuity and safety
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital safety policies and procedures
• Contribute positively to the team environment and participate in team-building activities
• Identify professional growth opportunities and pursue continuing education to maintain nursing competencies
