- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 – $2,600
- Location: Newport, OR (zip 97365) — Oregon travel nurse position
- Setting: LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) — Labor & Delivery RN role
- Start Date: June 1, 2026
- End Date: August 31, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour days (06:45–19:15), every other weekend
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Employment Type: Travel / Contract (Travel Nurse, L&D RN)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license required upon submission
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS (American Heart Association) required
- Basic Fetal Monitoring skills required (fetal monitoring certification preferred)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and STABLE certifications preferred
- At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery, LDRP, or perinatal nursing experience preferred
- Experience with maternal-newborn assessments, postpartum care, and electronic medical record documentation preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive maternal-newborn and postpartum care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases
- Monitor fetal and maternal well-being using basic fetal monitoring and intervene or escalate per unit protocol
- Assist with GYN surgical care and support OB providers during deliveries and procedures
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary perinatal team (obstetrics, anesthesia, pediatrics) to ensure safe, family-centered care
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner in the EMR
- Provide patient and family education on postpartum care, breastfeeding support, and newborn care
