- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) — L&D RN night shift
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 – $2,370
- Hours per Week: 36
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of New Mexico or compact state (required for New Mexico nursing jobs)
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
- Certification in one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
- Current STABLE certification (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants)
- At least 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery, perinatal, or a related maternity nursing specialty
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation)
- Perform maternal and fetal monitoring, including interpretation of electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and use of AWHONN/NCC standards
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
- Perform neonatal resuscitation and post-resuscitation/stabilization care in accordance with NRP and STABLE guidelines
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families; provide patient education on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Delegate and assign tasks appropriately to other care team members; participate in unit-based teamwork and handoffs
- Participate in ongoing competency validation, skills checks, and continuing education as required for L&D nursing
