- Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry / Telemetry nurse
- Unit: Heart Failure & Stroke (Med/Surg Telemetry)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00–07:00)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (option for 48 hours/week)
- Assignment Type: Travel nurse, 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 – $1,940 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Start Date: May 26, 2026
- Parking: On-site
- Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or a Compact RN license (no temporary licenses accepted)
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry, cardiac telemetry, stroke unit, or related specialty
- Associate Degree in Nursing required (ADN)
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (or Red Cross equivalents)
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred — familiarity with clinical documentation and telemetry monitoring systems
- Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed to support patient care
- Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients with heart failure, stroke, and other neuro-cardiac conditions
- Perform continuous telemetry monitoring, interpret cardiac rhythms, and escalate changes in patient status
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including cardiologists, neurologists, physicians, and advanced practice providers
- Assess, document, and communicate patient status, progress, and changes in condition using Meditech or approved EMR
- Administer medications and treatments per orders, following hospital policies and best practice standards
- Support unit staffing by floating to other units or facilities when required
