- Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center, 18-bed Operating Room (OR)
- Start Date: June 1, 2026
- End Date: August 31, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days, 4x10-hour (06:30 - 17:00); variable shifts may include 8s, 10s, or 12s; required on-call (M-F 21:00-06:30; Sat/Sun 06:30-19:00 & 19:00-06:30); holiday and weekend coverage as needed
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,280 - $2,400
- Hours Per Week: 40
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN or perioperative nursing experience (OR RN)
- Experience in Level 1 Trauma Centers preferred — trauma OR experience highly valued
- Active Registered Nurse license (compact or Ohio state license required at submission)
- BLS certification (AHA)
- EPIC charting experience required
- Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required (one must be from a manager, director, or supervisor)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- NIHSS certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative and intraoperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties: General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant
- Serve as OR circulator with emphasis on Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in EPIC and follow perioperative protocols and safety standards
- Float to different units within the organization as needed and participate in on-call rotation
- Provide weekend and holiday coverage as required for a Level 1 Trauma Center
