- Location: Clinton, MD 20735 (Prince George's County, near Washington, D.C.)
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Nurse
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,750 – $1,840
- Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: Emergency Department (ED) — high-volume community hospital (approx. 45,600+ annual visits)
- Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Schedule: Every other weekend & holiday required
- Preferred Start Date: June 1, 2026
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active RN license (Maryland or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience at a high-volume ED (facility with ~45,600 annual visits / 125/day) within the past 8 months
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR (documentation experience required)
- Triage experience required (triage nurse competencies)
- Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (minimum 80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
- Ability to float within skillset as needed
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Excellent prioritization, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced ED
- Two supervisor references required
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in a busy Emergency Department
- Perform triage, assessment, and interventions for a wide range of acute and emergent conditions
- Manage and monitor patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator support, IV therapy, and phlebotomy
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; initiate isolation precautions and appropriate PPE
- Document patient care accurately and promptly using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response
- Float to other units within your clinical skillset as required
- Work scheduled weekends and holidays as assigned
