• Setting: Acute Behavioral Services Unit (Inpatient Psychiatric Unit)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: May 4, 2026 (approx.)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (5:30pm – 6:00am); block scheduling available
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Charting System: EPIC (electronic health record experience preferred)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Nebraska license or compact privilege preferred)
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
• At least 1 year of experience in a psychiatric, behavioral health, or inpatient psychiatry setting preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in block scheduling
• Strong skills in de-escalation, crisis intervention, and therapeutic communication

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric nursing care to patients on the Behavioral Services Unit
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for psychiatric and behavioral health patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, therapists, social workers) to support patient safety and therapeutic outcomes
• Employ de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques as needed to maintain a safe environment
• Accurately document patient care, progress, and interventions using EPIC
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu for patients, visitors, and staff while upholding facility policies and regulatory standards
