Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent bedside clinical experience — medical-surgical (Med/Surg) experience preferred
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• EPIC EMR experience (electronic medical record proficiency)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for Med/Surg patients
• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner in EPIC
• Promote patient and staff safety by following hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences, patient rehabilitation, and discharge planning
• Provide patient education from admission through discharge to support positive outcomes
• Support a positive, efficient work environment through teamwork and effective communication
• Pursue opportunities for professional growth and continuing education in med-surg nursing
