Job Details
- Position Type: Locum Tenens Travel Contract / Locum Tenens Travel RN
- Location: Issaquah, WA (primary); floats to Redmond and Cherry Hill campuses — ~80% Issaquah (Seattle area, King County)
- Contract Duration: 26 weeks (5/18/2026 – 11/16/2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, Monday–Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 – 17:00)
- Weekly Hours: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,280 – $2,400
- Schedule: No weekends, nights, or holidays required
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active RN license (compact licenses honored at Swedish facilities) — Locum tenens travel RN accepted
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; locum tenens travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
- Experience with stroke patients; stroke program, neuro inpatient, or stroke RN experience preferred
- Code response experience (hard stop requirement)
- Epic charting and chart audit experience (hard stop requirement)
- BLS and NIHSS certifications
- 8-hour stroke education within the last year (department can provide if needed)
- Familiarity with AHA Get With The Guidelines (stroke quality programs)
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations
- Completion of required HealthStream modules (Code BART, Treatment Pathway, Yale Swallow Protocol, SNAP Stroke Neuro Assessment, Individualizing Stroke Care Plans and Education)
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the hospital Stroke Program to maintain compliance with stroke protocols and AHA standards
- Conduct comprehensive chart audits and abstractions, including pulling timestamps from Epic for program tracking
- Support AHA Get With The Guidelines initiatives and data submission
- Ensure workflow adherence for stroke protocols; this is a coordinator role — no direct patient care required
- Float to Redmond and Cherry Hill campuses as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (ED, neurology, radiology, quality) to maintain high standards of stroke care
- Use Microsoft Office tools to compile data, create reports, and present findings to stakeholders
