Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Travel Nurse / Travel Registered Nurse)
• Start Date: May 18, 2026
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040 (competitive pay for PICU travel nurses)
• Setting: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) – Pediatric critical care nursing
• Average Daily Census: 2-4 patients
• Unit Size: 6 beds
• Staffing Ratio: 1:2

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent PICU RN experience required (pediatric critical care experience)
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license honored (compact RN accepted)
• Current BLS and PALS required; NRP preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (Epic EHR) preferred
• Ability to float to NICU or other pediatric units within skill set as needed
• CRRT experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, family-centered critical care to medically complex pediatric patients as a Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse
• Administer and monitor respiratory support including ventilator management, high-frequency ventilation, oscillators, CPAP/BiPAP, and breathing treatments
• Provide trach care, ventilator weaning support, and management of blood/blood product administration
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, Port-A-Cath, vascular device access and care
• Perform wound care, procedural sedation support, and rapid sequence intubation medication administration
• Obtain 12-lead EKGs, manage drains, epidural/PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vacs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary pediatric teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, IV team, physical therapy, and physicians
• Float to NICU or other pediatric units as required and provide pediatric critical care coverage
• Document care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic documentation (preferred)
